Sriracha Sloppy Joe Recipe For Heat Lovers

Ingredients

For the Sloppy Joe Mixture:

1 pound floor beef

1 yellow onion, chopped

1 green bell pepper, chopped

1 purple bell pepper, chopped

2 tablespoons chili powder

2 tablespoons floor cumin

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce

1 (15-ounce) can tomato paste

1/2 cup Sriracha scorching sauce

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon yellow mustard

For the Sriracha Glaze:

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons gentle brown sugar

1 tablespoon Sriracha scorching sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon ketchup

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon floor black pepper

Instructions

To Make the Sloppy Joe Mixture:

Brown floor beef in a big skillet over medium heat; drain. Add 1/3 cup water, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, celery, onion, and garlic. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes or till the mixture is thickened.

Stir in Sriracha sauce. Serve on toasted hamburger buns.

To Make the Sriracha Glaze:

In a small bowl, whisk together the sriracha, soy sauce, honey, and brown sugar.

Bring to a simmer over medium warmth and cook for five minutes, or until thickened.

Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using.

To Assemble the Sloppy Joes:

1. Preheat oven to 350 levels F (175 levels C).

2. Place the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir until browned and crumbly. Drain off any extra fat.

3. Stir in the onion, bell pepper, Sloppy joe recipe and jalapeno pepper. Cook and stir till the vegetables are softened.

4. Stir within the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and Sriracha sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook dinner for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.

5. Spread the combination evenly into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
