Egg Roll Bowl: A Flavorful And Filling Option

Ingredients

For the Egg Roll Filling

1 cup thinly sliced green cabbage

1 cup thinly sliced carrots

1/2 cup thinly sliced purple bell pepper

1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon floor ginger

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

For the Sauce

Ingredients for the Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons floor ginger
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon pink pepper flakes (optional)

To Make the Egg Roll Filling

Instructions to Make the Egg Roll Bowl Roll Filling:

Ingredients:

• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 8 ounces floor pork
• eight ounces ground chicken
• 1 onion, chopped
• 2 celery stalks, chopped
• 1 carrot, chopped
• 1/4 cup soy sauce
• 1/4 cup oyster sauce
• 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon floor black pepper
• 2 eggs, beaten
• half of cup bean sprouts
• 1/4 cup shredded cabbage

Instructions:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium warmth.
  2. Add the bottom pork and floor chicken to the skillet and cook until browned.
  3. Add the onion, celery, and carrot to the skillet and cook until softened.
  4. Stir within the soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and floor black pepper.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook dinner for five minutes, or till the sauce has thickened.
  6. Push the filling to one side of the skillet and pour in the eggs.
  7. Cook the eggs till scrambled.
  8. Stir the eggs into the filling.
  9. Add the bean sprouts and cabbage to the skillet and cook until wilted.

To Make the Sauce

1. In a small saucepan whisk to combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, rooster broth, teriyaki sauce, garlic, brown sugar, ground ginger, and sesame oil.

2. Bring to a boil over high warmth, then reduce heat to medium-low.

3. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring often, or till the sauce has thickened slightly.

To Assemble the Egg Roll Bowls

1. Layer components in the following order: rice, black beans, corn, purple pepper, and avocado.

2. Add your desired quantity of dressing.

3. Top with crumbled tortilla chips and cilantro.

4. Enjoy the delicious flavor combination!
